Baby, it's cold outside...

This past Blizzard was so nice, for me anyways.  I enjoyed walking around while the snow was falling down hard, and watching the ground slowly turn black to white.  And then waking up to a blanket of snow over NYC.

This snow has definitely made '09 a good year.  Thank you Blizzard of 2009.

Reflections.

These buildings are around Bryant Park and the reflections caught my eyes for a good 5 minutes.

You know it's cold when...

...fountains start freezing over.

Shake Shack

Warm buns, juicy beef patties, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, crispy crinkle fries with cheese, and a delicious custard.

It's no wonder why lines for Shake Shack causes people to wait for an hour or so, depending on the day.  If I could, I would eat this everyday, but I'd rather not have a heart attack any time soon, so I'll just have this in moderation.

I wonder what the next month's flavors will be for the custards!

Fall Colors

Remember when you were little and the leaves started to change colors?  I used to get excited because I would go to queens to see my aunt and there would be piles of leaves everywhere!  I always took the opportunity to jump into one of these piles!  The other day I was in Central Park I had the opportunity to walk through some crunchy leaves and it just made me smile.

I like the fall and it's brisk weather and it's crunchy leaves.

Rahrr!

So I saw this little guy drawn on something in the middle of the street, and it caught my eye right away.

I got overly excited upon seeing this and noticed that it made me smile.

Yes, I know I get excited over small things, but I think it's the small things in life that count.

S'MAC

So the other day my friend was craving mac n' cheese and wanted to get some BADLY, and so we did. We ended up at S'MAC, Sarita's Macaroni and Cheese. I've been wanting to go here for the past year, but when I went earlier this year there was no indoor seating, and it was too cold to eat outside in the park, so I put it off.

S'MAC consists of an indoor area, which is two doors down from their take out spot. The inside's decor and set up reminded me of a pizzeria, you'll agree with me when you see it. Seating is fairly limited as well, so I suggest coming here before 12 - 2, or after, seeing as a lot of people like coming here for lunch.

Before we got here we already decided on getting the Sampler, which consists of:
- All-American, 4 Cheese,Cheeseburger, La Mancha, Cajun, Napoletana,Alpine, Parisienne.

I really liked all of them to be honest, but if I REALLY had to complain, I would say that the combination of Creamy Brie, roasted figs, roasted shiitake mushrooms & fresh rosemary is very powerful and hits your taste buds hard, maybe a little too hard, but still yummy.
It was definitely filling and worth the $16. I doubt I'd go here every day though, considering the fact that mac n' cheese is not the healthiest thing for you! But I would go here whenever a mac n' cheese craving hits!

So I forgot to take a picture of the Sampler before we got it, but here's one from their website.

But, I did remember to take a picture of it afterwards!

So yeah, it filled two people for sure! So come here hungry!

Try again.

Try again in 4 years Burns! So I didn't vote today, yes I know, I'm a horrible citizen for not exercising my right to vote. Anyways, I thought that this was cute, and at first I thought it was against Bloomberg, but my friend said that it wasn't. In fact, it was for Bloomberg, because who would vote for Burns? An evil, decrepit, and money hungry man? So of course, Bloomberg was a better choice, even if it meant going for a Third Term.

Pug

I saw this little pug while I was eating a burger from Shake Shack. It was the cutest pug I've ever seen! It definitely made my day! And I really love this picture of it.

Crazy.

Today was full of crazy things.
1. Between Houston and Prince, Broadway was closed off, for what reason? I have no idea. It was so deserted though.
2. This band. Let's just say they were "interesting."
3. Kitty on a guys head. I've seen him around before, and he was asking for money if you wanted to take a picture...I sneaked one in. Sorry.

And today was CRAZY, CRAZY windy, so windy that it knocked down:
I don't think I could have knocked that done on my own! Poor tree...

Zzzz

I love Union Square, there's always something happening here, whether it be the farmers market, someone break dancing, some volleyball in the air, or the holiday market that will be coming around soon. I like the little glow the lights have in this picture. :]

Sleep would be nice right about now...

Meow Mix

This kitty's name is Hot Daugggg, Daug for short.

I see Daug at least once a week.
It lives in a meat market on my Street.
I like to believe that Daug has a pretty good life.
Living in chinatown and listening to the strife.
This little kitty is special indeed.
Because in my mind it follows the ninja creed.

:]

Rain, Rain...

go away, come again another day.

I guess we won't be seeing a storm like this till next summer! And as weird as it may sound, I kind of miss it. I miss running through the street trying to avoid the rain and trying to keep everything on me dry, but still failing miserably.

Goodbye Summer '09.

How is this possible?

Have you seen a red eared slider turtle walking around? I don't understand how you can lose a turtle, they aren't that fast! Poor thing.
